Magong KingKueTou Fort

Since ancient times, Penghu Islands has been the mid stop between Taiwan and FuCheng Province, attesting to the significant of its location in terms of marine defense.  In 1875 the Ching Dynasty built the fort in KingKueTou in order to enhance defense, and in 1887 it was reconstructed by General Wu, HongLou, as one of the most powerful forts together with East Fort and West Fort in ShiYu.  The major structure of the Fort is well preserved and not open to the public. Its location is within the military control district under PengHu Defense Command.
