Penghu Cross-sea Bridge
In a total length of about 2494meters, Penghu Cross-sea Bridge was once the largest cross-sea bridge in East Asia. It stretches between the White Island and Fisher Island, where the water is very turbulent. The purpose to construct Penghu Bridge is to facilitate the communication between Magong Island and Hsiyu Island, and to control the “roar door" vessels, so Penghu Cross-sea Bridge is a very important building. After this bridge opened to traffic, it became very important network road for Penghu County, thus contributing to local prosperity.
Immediately before entering the Penghu Cross-sea Bridge, you can see a large white arch. On the right there is a golden inscription “Penghu Cross-sea Bridge”, which is a very famous landmark.
